Ladies Woven Design Assistant

We are looking for a commercial ladieswear designer with feminine handwriting.  The candidate will need to be highly organised and work in a fast paced environment.

The role will comprise of the following:

Constantly researching the latest trends through weekly magazines, websites, blogs and shop reports as and when required.

Assembling mood boards, including print, trim and fabric inspirations.

Assisting in the design of trend-lead, branded in house ranges.

Researching and developing new, exclusive print designs through adobe photoshop and illustrator.

Designing exclusively for contract customers, such as Republic and Peacocks, following on from customer meetings.

Developing seasonal stock label artworks (Hang tag & back neck labels)

Working on specs for in house range.

Assisting with garment fits, commenting on the styling and construction of samples.

Design admin assistance - eg. Photgraphing samples from meetings, labelling samples, chasing for development samples, posting samples/artworks.

Chasing samples from factories to ensure deadlines met.
