Buying Office Trainee

Our client is a leading branded clothing and accessory retailer.

They are currently looking for a graduate with a fashion related degree and preferably a placement within a fashion related role such as buying, merchandising or quality control.

You will be responsible for assisting the buying and quality teams with the below duties.

·         Assisting with the raising of purchase orders & amendments & enter on to the system;

·         Assisting with the maintenance of all aspects of critical path & progress as required by establishing good relationship with suppliers by phone and e-mail in relation to ordering of components and deliveries on time;

·         Assisting with the raising, monitoring & progressing of footwear orders for 'on time' delivery of salesmen's samples;

·         Work with and assist Senior Production Controller in any area required to achieve the job function & prioritise workload accordingly;

·         Work with and assist Footwear Technologist in any area required to achieve the job function;

·         Work with China based QA on schedule to ensure on time deliveries and AQL's/gold seal samples sent in timely manner;

·         Chasing suppliers on a weekly basis for production samples and documentation to ensure shipments in a timely manner ;

·         General office administrative work: Opening & distributing all parcels, approving and sending out barcode information, maintaining carrier log and invoices, creating delivery on time records.
