Visual Merchandiser

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Field In-Store Visual Merchandiser to join an international premium fashion accessories brand in all aspects of visual merchandising within their wholesale department.

The role will be based in the Northern region area covering North England, Ireland & Scotland and will report into the VM Manager.

We are looking for an organised individual who can ensure that products appear in the correct store at the correct time, in the right quantities & who can also provide outstanding brand representation and image within all designated account locations.

The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills as they will be required to build relationships internally and externally, constant interaction with Floor Managers & Store Associates within independent luxury stores, John Lewis, Selfridges, and House of Fraser.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. CLIENT PORTFOLIO COVERAGE
  • Visit assigned cluster of stores ensuring a capillary coverage of the territory;
  • Guarantee effective visit planning in order to achieve KPI's in terms of frequency of visits per store cluster;
  • Define work plan based on “sales cycle” priorities and activities.

2.PRODUCT AVAILABILITY & FACING CHECK

  • Complete facing count and check agreed product display;
  • Verify assortment depth & width;
  • Ensure adequate stock level (check of back stock and periodical stock count);
  • Analyse best and worst sellers (i.e. the best selling price points, colours or styles);
  • Fully optimise best sellers selections;
  • Support in Inventory activities & Return management (esp. Stars stores)
  • Support Sales Team in planning product ranges and preparing sales and stock plans.

3. VISUAL MERCHANDISING & POS MATERIAL

  • Ensure compliance with Visual Merchandising guidelines & standards in the stores;
  • Produce layout plans for stores;
  • Protect and capture prime space in stores and, in general, all space opportunities;
  • Allocate POS and promotional material (in-store and window) and verify its quality and correct positioning & functioning over time;
  • Maintain Image of Brand at Retail complying with guidelines to protect Brand Equity;
  • Take action to set promotions in agreement with Sales Cycle priorities.

4. TRAINING

  • Carry out Training activities for Trade Education;
  • Disseminate knowledge at different store levels regarding product, collections, marketing activities & special launches;

5. CLIENT RELATIONSHIP

  • Build constructive relationships with Store Manager and Associates;
  • Act as point of reference for client’s feedbacks and needs.

6. REPORTING

  • Responsible for data that feeds into SAP CRM – full training during induction
  • Provide timing and accurate reporting of visits;
  • Gather information relating to the customer reaction to products;
  • Analyze and report structured information on competitors’ activities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • University Degree or 2-year experience in visual merchandising
  • Available to travel up to 80% of time
  • Driving license
  • Computer literate (Microsoft package)
