Junior Designer 14-15k

My client is a successful branded clothing retailer who are currently looking for a junior designer to join the team.

You must have:

• a strong flare for casualwear/sportswear design
• a full understanding of photoshop and illustrator
• good organisational skills
• a proven track record of working to tight deadlines
• be able to work closely with the design team and equally successfully on own initiative
• a creative approach to problem solving
• be abreast of new trends and innovations

·       able to translate garment and graphic trends commercially

They will ideally be of graduate calibre and will have had previous experience working within a design team

Duties and responsibilities will include:

• working with product managers and designers to conduct research in to new trends and innovations in the market place, feeding information back to the design team
• Confirming colour pallette and working closely with the team to ensure that colours are matched and registered
• Producing and presenting CAD colourway sheets and confirming colour ways in line with sales feedback
• Producing accurate colour way sheets and graphic artwork within layered design templates
• Assisting the design team in the generation of all-over print artworks
• Liaising with the product development team to create full development specs, keeping to agreed corporate calendar dates
• Assisting with the generation of all graphics and stencil artworks
• Creating small commercial ranges
• Presenting samples to key sales teams, using cad artworks as necessary
