Graphic Designer
Ringspun Menswear Graphic Design / Illustrator Internship:
Based in city centre Manchester, Ringspun have an opportunity for a graduate to work within the design team as an intern.
Initially, this is a 5 month unpaid placement, but with a possibility to become a permanent professional post for the right candidate.
You will be working on commercial briefs - primarily designing graphics, logos and illustrations for tee shirts and other clothing, researching new graphic visual trends and sourcing interesting images.
You will also be working on other aspects of design such as trimset and branding details, as well as the opportunity to learn from and shadow experienced designers.
Experience and Skills required:
- Being a graphic design / illustration graduate is an advantage, although graduates from other design backgrounds will also be considered.
- To show an understanding of current and forthcoming visual trends, as well as a strong eye for striking typography and logo design, particularly for use on clothing.
- To show in interest in menswear and fashion in general.
- To possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work well as an individual or as part of a team.
- To be fully proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Indesign experience would also be an advantage.
