MFN work with the University of Salford - We'll Meet Again

Share |

A vision of idyllic, romanticised Britishness, buried beneath globalisation for too long will emerge as a response to the economic crisis and ongoing global conflicts. Gone is the clichéd notion of ‘Cool Britannia’ – Blighty is back with the classic British trait of pulling together in times of crisis. Picture neighbours gossiping over a picket fence, the village green and the local pub: all uniquely British ideals that conjure up a romantic vision of community that has seemingly been lost.

We’ll Meet Again will transcend Britain’s development over the coming years. As disposable income reaches its lowest levels in decades, spending habits will become more considered resulting in a surge of support for local business and a  rejection of the global market. The rise of independent boutiques and businesses will  be unstoppable as Britain recaptures, in perception at least, a sense of community that has guided us through crises before.
