Join us this month as we ‘meet the buyers’ and explore everything you need to know about selling your brand to retailers. Our expert panel will be looking at all aspects of buying into a brand including how and when to do a tradeshow, presenting ranges, production and finance queries, as well as how they like to be approached!

Guest Panel:

Richard Johnson - Menswear Buying Manager - Harvey Nichols. Richard has been with Harvey Nichols for 5 years, joining as the International Designer Buyer before being promoted to his current position. Previously he worked for Moss Bros Group as Buyer for Hugo Boss and Cecil Gee.

Richard Elsby - Owner - Mr Chimp. Richard owns the award winning menswear retail boutique Mr Chimp in Leeds and has done so for almost 12 years now. As well as running the shop he also own a clothing agency that looks after a few menswear lines from the States.  In the first year of running the agency he was asked to contribute in the design process and marketing of the brand TRUE LOVE AND FALSE IDOLS, to help tailor the brand into a more European friendly product. He also writes sporadically for menswear buyer magazine.
