The next in our series of events looking at Trading Online, we bring together a panel of experts to give you tips on how to optimise your website.

Guest Panel: 

  • Stephen Pratley - Managing Director - Shine Marketing; a specialist in eCommerce websites and online marketing for online retailers. With 10 years experience in selling online covering work with brands as diverse as Savile Row shirts and Fat Face, Stephen has a solid insight into how to set-up and grow a profitable online presence for your business.
  • Sarah Willcocks – Director - Screen Pages. Sarah is a director of Screen Pages and handles many of its existing and new clients in the fashion, apparel and lifestyle consumer goods sector.  She has been in the online world for over 10 years and focussed on retail/home shopping sector since 2004. She works closely with several leading niche brands including Browns Fashion, Joules Clothing, East & Red Direct and her expertise includes all aspects of developing an online retail presence, spanning marketing, technology, fulfilment and service.
  • Joel Vertes - Associate, Intellectual Property Group - Olswang.  Joel advises on contentious and non-contentious matters in all areas of intellectual property law. His practice focuses on "online infringement" issues including domain name recovery, anti-spam and anti-phishing litigation, topics on which he has had a number of articles published. Additionally, he has significant expertise in trade mark, passing off and copyright litigation, as well as advising on trade mark portfolio and domain name strategy.
  • Barnaby Brown – Internet Commerce – motelrocks.com – responsible for creation of the brand’s online offering, attraction of online customers and sales.  Barney has been a successful retailer in his own right previously with 5 shops and was successfully trading online as early as 1997.  Barney’s approach is aimed at finding customers for your products and encompasses organic SEO, online promotions and e-merchandising.
