TFN Announces: DisneyRollerGirl joins Future Generation Panel

DisneyRollerGirl confirms her seat amongst industry experts on the panel for the Future Generation Series on the 25th of April, sharing industry tips on how to achieve a successful career in the media.

 

  
 

Regarded as one of the leading fashion blogs in the UK, DisneyRollerGirl was first launched in 2007 by Navaz Batliwalla whilst working as a fashion director for Cosmogirl.  Initially intended as a ‘anonymous fashion insider’ blog, DisneyRollerGirl rocketed to fame and quickly earned a huge cult following, making The Times ‘Top 40 Bloggers’ and being featured in magazines such as 10, I.D and Grazia.

Now working as a freelance stylist, journalist and consultant, Navaz Batliwalla produces fashion editorial for the UK’s leading fashion and retail companies such as ASOS, Glamour, Topshop and Harvey Nichols, to name but a few.  

 

Having gained a wealth of knowledge from industry leaders, Navaz Batliwalla joins the Future Generation panel for an evening of in depth discussion on how to become successful in the industry, covering topics from blogging, styling and writing for fashion magazines and national publications.

 

The Future Generation Series is a chain of informative events designed to inspire, guide and advise young people towards a career in fashion. Hosted by The Fashion Network, the series is specifically geared towards students and graduates, and consists of a series of informative events focused on providing young people with the tools for career success.

 

Speaking about the series, TFN’s Emma Doyle states that The Future Generation Scheme will be  inviting industry experts to come in and talk to you about what it’s really like to work in the fashion industry, dishing out first hand advice on how you can secure that dream job, taking you through the highs and the lows of careers in fashion’.

 

The event will take place on Wednesday the 25th of April 2012. Doors will open at 18:30 with the discussion commencing at 19:00 for one hour, followed by a 15 minute question and answer session. Tickets are priced  at £6.00 for students holding a valid NUS or student card, and £10.00 for industry.
