Here is our regular round up of the goings on in and around Manchester City Centre.

 

Cushion Couture, formally in the Arndale opposite Clas Ohlson, has reopened in new premises at 73 Deansgate by the Barton Arcade.

 

Value Discount Store are opening in the former Pound Empire unit on Piccadilly.



The scrolling information screen has now been installed at the new Visitor Information Centre at City Tower.


 
Westworld on Church Street has been refurbished to Bench.


 
BB's Coffees and Muffins at the Arndale is being refurbished to Coffee Break, they are still open during the refurbishment.


 
Boards are now up advertising The Hub opening in the Arndale, they will open in early October.

Jewel Nation are relocating from their store at Piccadilly Gardens next to Superdrug to a new store in the Arndale in the former Diamonds & Pearls unit.

FM Boutique have now closed in the Arndale opposite Foot Asylum, they will reopen soon in their new store location next to Poundland.

Kitbag have now closed their temporary store on Market Street.


 
The former Gamestation unit on Market Street looks like it is now being fitted out for a new tennant, no mention of the new retailer yet though.


 
Lush on Market Street is closed for their store refurbishment, they reopen on Thursday 19th August.


 
Hoardings are now up around either side of the escalators at Selfridges, for the new glass domed atrium, part of the stores £40million store refurbishment, the hoardings are covered in Manchester history and famous places and people relating to Manchester.


 
The lower ground floor of Aspecto/ Y3 at The Triangle is closed for store refurbishment.


 
William Hill is now being fitted out on Deansgate.


 
WHSmith is now open underneath 3 Hardman Street at Spinningfields, the store includes a Krispy Kreme cabinet.



All the black hoardings are now down around the shops at The Avenue underneath the Magistrates Court, ready for their shopfronts to be installed and fitting out of the shops to commence.
