Gola x JC/DC Collaboration
Gola are known for their statement trainers and their colourful history, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac is known for his love of colour and all things quirky. When these two brands come together to collaborate on one project we expect nothing less than something genius.
We are pleased to account a Gola x JC/DC collaborate is scheduled for release A/W 10. If you are not too familiar with JC/DC's quirky pop art style work click here, for our previous post on the Moroccan fashion designer. JC/DC breaks down the boundaries between Gola's classic shaped shoe and his block colour fascination, by intertwining the two to make a truly unique project.
Gola gave the designer a free reign to do he wished, when designing the collection of men's and women's high-tops and classic plimsols. He has brought his personal taste into the collection and that really shows, using his trademark injection of colour and avant-garde styling.
Each design will be of limited edition and all include variations of rich leathers and bold colour palettes, together with metal and patent finishing touches. The designer has stuck true to his quirky roots and gone for usually finishes which include reptile and tartan prints and an array of eyelets and safety pins.
Prices range from £70 to £120. The collection will be available at JC/DC's flagship store in London and through select stores from Autumn 2010.
