Ugg Australia: More than boots
I must admit, prior to receiving an invitation to visit the New Cathedral Street Ugg Australia Store to have a look round the S/S Collection, I instantly associated Ugg Australia with the classic Ugg boots and flip flops for Summer. I don't think I could have been more wrong...
My first impressions of the New Cathedral Street Store were amazing, it's decked out beautifully with stone floor complete with sheepskin rugs wherever your gaze may choose to fall, interesting chandeliers and plush seating areas create an extremely luxurious yet comfortable feel, obviously reflected in the brand itself. I was given a thorough tour of each key piece in the S/S Collection by the kind and helpful staff, below are a few of my my favourite, I warn you now; If you don't already own a pair of Ugg Australia shoes you may feel the need to buy some very soon...
Plus, the majority of Ugg Australia have Memory Foam soles, making them oh so comfortable.
These Oliana wooden soled sandals are one of my favourite pieces within this season's collection. Not only are they following a key trend for S/S, they are also very comfortable. The sheepskin heel (sheepskin can be found on nearly every Ugg Australia product) provides that little extra comfort where new shoes would usually rub.
The 'Oliana' sandals aren't available online, so check out the New Cathedral Street store.
Trend led metallic Sandals where something I did not expect to see from Ugg Australia, though these 'Sechura' gladiators proved me entirely wrong. The gold metallic straps are practical yet flattering so make the perfect shoe for the festival season but are elegant enough to wear to a summer event or work.
The 'Sechura' Sandals are £90
I also never expected Ugg Australia to produce a dainty, glamorous sandal. These 'Khloe' sandals are a far cry from the classic, structured Ugg boots. They are perfect for dressing up an outfit for the beaches of Australia or skinny jeans for shopping in the streets of Manchester.
The 'Khloe' Sandals are £100
These 'Abbie' clogs are soon trend for this season, preceding the footsteps of the high fashion counterparts, Ugg Australia had these clogs available before Chanel or Miu Miu. They also have the advantage of having a much smaller heel, making them wearable all day long.
These clogs are £120
The 'Fluffies' caught my eye as soon as I entered the store, I had never seen furry flip flops before! But fear not, the sheepskin regulates your body temperature so when you're hot, they keep you cool and vice versa. I tried on a pair to feel the fluff, they look great on but I'm a little worried about getting them muddy...
The Fluffies are £34.99
There is also a gorgeous, slightly more mature range in which these 'Hazel' shoes take centre stage. They come in a range of colours ranging from the aquamarine you see above to elegant black. They are, again, so comfortable you could wear them all day because of the Memory foam sole.
These shoes are £120
Before you buy a pair of Ugg Australia shoes, I thoroughly recommend that you try them on before buying them as they only stock US sizes so it's worth making sure they fit you perfectly. Plus, then you get to experience the store and it's lovely surroundings!
