Last week we saw Tabio feature in the “Menswear Staples – The Socks” article, this week it's time to see how their women's wear range fares up. For everyone that hasn't heard of the name before, Tabio are a Japanese sock specialist, who are know for their use of high quality fabrics, considered design, durability and comfort. They boost an extensive range of items for men and women, including plain and patterned socks, tights in every colour imaginable, leggings, leg warmers, men's formal and sports performance socks.

Tabio have been going since the late 60s and have became a driving force in their category. The aren't afraid to take risk or two either, by collaborating with up-and-coming talent like London based menswear designer, Carolyn Massey(the collection hits stores A/W 2010). One of their most exciting projects of late was their “Joker Socks”, which were supplied to the late Heath Ledger, for his role as The Joker in The Dark Knight.

If you hadn't heard of the name Tabio before today you will no doubt see the name cropping up all the time from now on, as the continuously supply the top fashion magazines and designers with their products to use in photo shoots. You will be amazed how you didn't see them earlier!

Here's some products we have tried and tested;

80D STIRRUP LEGGINGS. These versatile jet black leggings are a currently a massive trend in their native country. We thought we'd try them out slightly different with a 3-buckle ballet pump. Perfect for the Summer months and work with everything.

LACE LAYERED SOCKETTE in deep pink. These “V” shaped lacey numbers are designed to be worn with ballet pumps and low cut shoes, so you can still have the comport of a regular sock. We decided to take a leaf out of Gaga's books are try the opposite, by showing the sockettes off instead of hiding them.
